Sadachari Music Academy is proud to host the Annual Mṛdaṅga Festival, a dynamic and devotional platform for rhythm artists to showcase their talent. Open to solo performers and small groups, this event celebrates the depth and beauty of Mṛdaṅga in a spiritually charged setting.
Open to solo and group performances
A maximum of 3 participants per group is allowed
Each performance must be between 40 minutes to 1 hour
Artists must present compositions in one or more of the following Taal cycles:
🔸 16-beat (Daspehra or Teentaal)
🔸 12-beat (Lofa or Ektaal)
🔸 10-beat (Jhaptal)
🔸 7-beat (Rupak, Katados Kushi or similar)
Accompaniment allowed: Harmonium or any string instrument
Presentations should showcase a variety of rhythmic expressions including layakari, traditional compositions, and creative improvisations
